About Miss Africa Queen 2006.
The Miss Africa Queen beauty pageant was born out of an idea to recognize the unique features of the African woman who have been disqualified in most of the world acclaimed beauty pageants, based on being an African. Besides, most often than not, we measure our young women with European standard of beauty, as a result many of these girls have their dreams shattered, hope lost and some of them have undergone surgery just to fit into European standards. We have accepted the norm to the extent that we have pushed our God-given features of “coca-cola shape bottle” woman with unique features to the background and the fact that African woman also have a lot to offer in various ways if given the opportunity. We at XYZ Agency have decided to change the status quo. Our Company has carved a niche for itself due to its professionalism and expertise in handling various clienteles from corporate bodies to individuals. The primary aim of Miss Africa Queen Pageant is to bring young women of African ancestry under one umbrella to create the platform for them to address issues affecting their communities, regions, countries and Africa as a whole. It also aims at highlighting the rich cultural background heritage of the various participating countries whilst placing great emphasis on African attributes and life style in those countries. However, the importance of the event spans much further, and aims at bringing together all women and children's organizations under one umbrella providing an opportunity for addressing issues that are most crucial to African nations, hence the theme “BREAKING THE FRONTIERS WITH BEAUTY” The winner of Miss Africa Queen Pageant will dedicate a full year as an international spokesperson, advocacy for inspiring a renewed interest in Africa , and creating awareness on social, cultural, health, wealth and political issues that bothers on the development of African nations. She will also travel across the continent meeting Presidents, parliamentarians, ministers, Opinion Leaders, Women and Children's organization, soliciting for funds to help improve the welfare of the under privilege. As an advocate of women and children's right, I have always maintained that African women are the most vulnerable in the world. They suffer abuses and domestic violence every now and then becomes the larger group in most conflict areas. The winner of Miss Africa Queen will also have the opportunity to appear in electronic print commercials, Billboards and branding of sponsors” products all over the continent, funds from these commercials will be set aside to sponsor some of the deprived areas on the continent of the winner's choice. In a nutshell, we want to build pageantry with an empire that will stretch across every class of our society – from the elite to the village, the hamlet in your country. Welcome again to our website and that is not all, we however welcome your opinions, views, suggestions and questions. The event will witness explosion of color, culture, beauty, intelligence and fashion.Thank you.
